Bell 407 Start-Up - [1.89MB -1:20]

This is an MP3 of Henry 1 firing up its turbine. The initial click is the starter, the initial whine is the compressor spooling up, and the explosion of air that soon follows is the fuel vapor igniting in the engine's hot section.

Air Show - [10.1MB -3:54]

The rescue helicopter and crew perform a long line rescue demo that's about as up close and personal as you'll ever get without actually being the victim. Our five camera shoot puts you inside, outside, and in the middle of the action.

Night Long Line Rescue [5.16MB - 2:01]

This is most likely the only footage in existence in the world of an actual night long line rescue filmed from beginning to end. The victim was trapped in debris in the middle of a fast moving and extremely cold river.

Bell 407 Fly-By - [590KB - 0:09]

This is an MP3 of Henry 1 during a fly by. The Bell 407 has a very aggressive sound signature.

Highway 1: Auto vs. Tree - [4.72MB - 1:46]

A car, traveling at an estimated speed of 50-60 mph, crossed the center divide, exited the highway, and struck a large tree. The car is on its side and the driver is barely visible under the crushed roof. Sea Ranch Fire, State Parks, and the Sheriff's Department are on scene for the extrication, stabilization, and transport.

Bell 407 Long Line Rescue Hover - [754KB -0:32]

This is an MP3 of Henry1 directly overhead during long line maneuvers. Imagine the down force from the blades and a rescue paramedic securing your harness to lift you to safety. This is exactly what a rescue sounds like underneath the rescue helicopter.

Surf Rescue - [3.96MB - 1:29]

Deputy/Observer Greg Quacchia and pilot Paul Bradley rescue a diver near the surf zone and then quickly turn around for another. Portions of this clip also appear on the Compilation clip, but this one is extended and carries the original live audio

Bell 407 Interior - [590KB - 0:25]

This is what it sounds like inside Henry 1 if you were to take off your helmet or headset. Fast or slow, low or high, moving or hovering, this pitch rarely changes for the crew.

Fire Suppression - [2.3MB - 00:48]

Fire season started early in Marin County this year. Henry 1, pilot Andrew MacRitchie, and crew were on hand for the initial attack with almost sixty bucket drops in hilly terrain. See how MacRitchie and the Bell 407 get it done - inside and out.

Cliff Rescue - [10.7MB - 4:10]

A cyclist inadvertantly plunges 70ft from the roadway. Pilot Andrew MacRitchie, Deputy Sgt. Eric Thomson, and rescue medic Kim Martinez are dispatched to Contra Costa County to execute a cliff rescue, stabilize the patient and transport to the John Muir trauma center.

NVG Night Vision - [3.7MB - 00:42]

Calls for lost hikers are common in Sonoma County. This is a split screen video demonstrating the capabilities of NVG (Night Vision Goggles) during a search for two lost hikers on a ridge. Not only do the NVGs allow for obvious identification of the hikers, but more importantly the surrounding mountainous terrain - not visible to unaided eyes - is clearly visible with the use of NVGs. In this case the hiker's light source is a flashlight. NVGs are also sensitive to lighters - and on moonless nights - the light generated by cell phones.
